Mpanga Basin water resources assessment under different climate change scenarios

Client: Uganda Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE)

The objective of the study was to assess the impact of different climate change scenarios on the water resources of the Mpanga River. The results of the study will be used as a basis for future Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) processes within the Mpanga catchment area, hence supporting the sustainable management of the water resources

For this project, we carried out a water resource assessment under different climate change scenarios (data analysis, choice of climate change scenario, rainfall-runoff modelling, and assessment of the impact of climate change on the catchment’s water resources). We organized stakeholder workshops and conducted many field visits.
