A Stakeholder delegation visited our geophysical survey team in the field. Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) measurements were taken to identify locations with high groundwater potential at a paleo-channel just north of Kazungula, a rapidly growing town located on the Zambian side of the unique 4-country border between Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia. A feasibility study was conducted for the construction of large diameter wells or infiltration galleries along the Zambezi River to develop a sustainable water source for the Kazungula townwater supply.

The Nkandabbwe irrigation scheme was set up by the Kaluli Development Foundation (KDF) to support the local farmers of Sinazeze. Currently, the dam providing water to the irrigation scheme is silted up at the intake, and the supply is therefore effectively blocked. Aquaquest conducted a Water Resources Assessment and designed mitigation measures to rehabilitate the water supply for the irrigation scheme. One of the activities was to map the bathymetry of the lake, using a small boat.
