MISNANI: Management Information System for Niassa and Nampula – 2009

A Management Information System (MIS) was set up for the provinces Nampula and Niassa. The first part of the project’s aim was “to establish a Database and a Management Information System (MIS) that will enable Government as well as all Water Sector stakeholders to obtain the data they require to plan the development of the water sector…”. WE Consult conducted stakeholder analyses and discussion, design, programming, implementation and technical assistance during one year. During this period water and sanitation data in a wide variety were gathered for these two provinces, varying from investment in water points, to types of latrine construction and borehole supervision drilling costs. This resulted in a comprehensive report and database supporting decision makers in the region.
